About

Hi, my name is Arnold Manda. I am a photographer, writer, and consultant based in uMhlanga and Johannesburg, South Africa. I enjoy making and sharing my own prints, and sharing their stories with others. I am a self-taught photographer with a background in drawing and painting in high school. My professional background is in Cytogenetics which involves the use of microscopy and digital photographic imaging techniques for the capture and analysis of G-banded human chromosomes to identify chromosome aberrations. I am interested in using photography to explore ideas concerning creative expression and personal heuristic healing methods. My pictures have been exhibited internationally in Athens, Rome, London, Gimpo, and Glasgow, and I am interested in how dreams, memories of dreams, lived experiences, memories of lived experiences, and the synthesis of new ideas can be consolidated by using photography.
